South Shore Food Truck Association (SSFTA, we, us, or our) respects the privacy of visitors, event organizers, applicants, and members who use southshorefoodtruckassociation.org (the Site). This policy explains the information we collect and how we use it.

Information We Collect

We may collect:

  • Contact information, including names, email addresses, phone numbers, and business addresses.
  • Membership information, including business descriptions, menus, categories, service areas, websites, social links, logos, photos, licensing or insurance information, and profile details.
  • Booking information, including event dates, locations, attendance, food preferences, dietary or allergy information, budgets, and other details submitted with a request.
  • Account and communication information, including usernames, messages, and support requests.
  • Basic technical information, such as browser type, device type, pages visited, and IP address, which may be collected through cookies or similar tools.

Membership payments are handled through a third-party Square invoice sent by SSFTA and are not collected through the Site. SSFTA may receive the amount, date, payment status, and limited transaction details from Square, but does not store full payment-card numbers on its own systems.

How We Use and Share Information

We use information to:

  • Review applications, collect dues, create accounts, and manage memberships.
  • Publish and promote member directory profiles.
  • Respond to questions and send association, event, and membership communications.
  • Share booking requests with SSFTA members who may be able to serve the event.
  • Operate, protect, troubleshoot, and improve the Site.
  • Comply with law and protect SSFTA, its members, and Site users.

We may also share information with service providers that support the Site, payments, email, security, or administration; with authorized SSFTA officers or volunteers; when required by law; or with your consent. SSFTA does not sell personal information for money.

Public Profiles and Booking Requests

Member profiles are public. Business names, descriptions, contact details, menus, categories, photos, logos, websites, and social links may be displayed on the Site and indexed by search engines. Members should not place private or sensitive information in public profile fields.

When an event organizer asks SSFTA to locate food trucks or related businesses, SSFTA may share the request with appropriate members. Those members are independent businesses with their own privacy practices.

Cookies, Security and Retention

The Site may use cookies for sign-in, security, functionality, preferences, and traffic measurement. You may block cookies through your browser, although some features may not work correctly. SSFTA uses reasonable safeguards, but no online system is completely secure. We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for membership administration, transactions, communications, security, legal obligations, and association records.

Your Choices

Members may update available profile information through the Member Dashboard. You may request access, correction, or deletion of personal information by contacting SSFTA. Some records may be retained for legitimate accounting, security, association, or legal reasons. You may unsubscribe from promotional email, but SSFTA may still send necessary membership or administrative messages.

Children, Third-Party Links and Changes

The Site is intended for adults and business users and is not directed to children under 13. The Site may link to member websites, payment services, social media, and other third-party services; their own policies apply. SSFTA may update this policy when its practices change and will post the revised version with a new effective date.
