Beginning in 2011, cousins Jim and Sabin were reminiscing about their childhood and growing up in Portland, ME. They reminisced about the big pots of boiling lobsters they grew up on at family dinners. They also talked about the bustling Food Truck industry that was taking over LA. They decided to save their money and launch a food truck that celebrated Maine & served lobster the right way. The first food truck launched in 2012 and the rest was history. 2012 was the year of Shark Tank. The Shark Tank producers had been part of the many customers that heard about the truck, tried the food and seen the craze. With less than a month’s worth of sales, Shark Tank invited the Cousins to be a part of the show. After turning down the opportunity twice, they finally decided it was the right time to take the plunge. Their business pitch was a success. They partnered with Barbara Corcoran and since then, they were able to scale their business. Today, there are over 50 trucks, including 2 trucks serving the greater Boston & Cape Cod areas.
